Show 3 “The Uninvited”
A Mystery by Tim Kelly
Seeking to escape the demands of life in London, Pam Fitzgerald and her brother, Roddy purchase Cliff End, a long empty, charming house in the west of England overlooking the Irish Sea. The reason for the seemingly bargain price is soon apparent, as a murder by the gnarled tree visible from the parlor window is rumored to have occured fifteen years earlier. Slowly the evil that inhabits the house manifests itself in subtle ways. The housekeeper's cat will not enter the nursery, where the sound of a weeping woman and exotic scents fills the air. Local villagers come to visit with tales of the beautiful Mary Meredith, who once lived in the house and of the striking, unstable Carmel, who posed for a painting that led to her destruction. With the help of a seance and Mary's daughter Stella, whose mysterious birth holds the key to the puzzle, Cliff End reveals its dark secrets and a ghost who is real and dangerous.
